Lim gets courtesy visit by Hong Kong tourists

CHIEF Minister Lim Guan Eng on Oct 7 received a courtesy visit from the founder/director of Hong Thai Travel Services, Datuk Jackie Wong.
Wong was accompanied by some 34 visitors from Hong Kong.
Also present was Malaysian Chinese Tourism Association president Datuk Albert Tan Sam Soon.
In welcoming the visitors at restaurant 59Sixty at Komtar, Lim said the tourist spots in Penang are going through a revitalising stage.
Every year if you come back to visit us, you can see new and upgraded facilities at our tourist spots, like Penang Hill as a typical example,”
he added.
Lim said this us in line with the state government’s mission to make Penang into a livable and intelligent city.
He also briefed the visitors on other projects in the state like the Second Penang Bridge, the planned undersea tunnel from the island to
the mainland, Tech Dome, Penang Science Cafe and others.
Meanwhile, Wong on behalf of the visitors thanked the Chief Minister and the state government for hosting them at the reception.
He commented that more tour packages will be arranged for tourists totake in the many scenic spots, taste the various delicious hawker food and
