Nex aims at encouraging management to embrace thought leadership

N international leadership conference showcasing distinguished local and international leadership practitioners will be held on March 10 – 12.

The event, themed “NEX (Nuture Engage eXchange)” will be hosted by Livingstone House of Learning.

Some 700 delegates from all over the world are expected to participate in this conference.

“Present day Penang is a magnet for corporations and industries, setting up not just manufacturing facilities but also locating their research and

development efforts here,” exco for Tourism Development and Culture Danny Law Heng Kiang told a press conference on Jan 11.

Law added that Penang has also been internationally recognized by the global community in many aspects.

“Last year Penang was placed at No. 4 in ‘Cities to Travel in 2016’ by Lonely Planet. This was followed by Forbes magazine naming Penang as the

No. 1 ‘Budget Travel Destination for 2016’.

“On top of that, LA Times selected Penang as the ‘Top 16 Must See Destinations’. “As such, the state government and the Penang Tourism Board is

excited that the NEX Leadership Conference will be held in Penang,” he said.

Among those present were chairman of the organizing committee Edmund Chan, its chief passionary officer, Dr John Ng and chairman of Rehda,

Penang Chapter, Datuk Jerry Chan.

Among the speakers at the NEX 2016 conference include group president, Singapore Government Investment Corporation Lim Siong Guan,

president Eagles Communications, Michael Tan, international speaker and author, Paul McGee, assistant chief executive, Singapore Tourism

Board, Lawrence Leong, former CEO, Far East Orchard, MediaCorp and Singtel Mobile, Lucas Chow, former dean of Nanyang Business
