FOOD, scenic routes and heritage attractions were the prime reason by Garmin Malaysia picked Penang to host its Garmin Malaysia For Runners event.
“Penang has the food, the attractions, a scenic route, heritage sites and everything runners can ask for. It will be a wonderful trip for those runners from outside of Malaysia and Penang to come here for the run,” Garmin Head of Division, Sales and Marketing, Vincent Gan told Buletin Mutiara.
Only 3,000 slots are available and as at April 23, a total of 2,025 people have signed up and the organisers expect the slots to be taken up very soon even before the closing date on April 30.

”I encourage events like these where family and friends can participate to promote a healthy and active lifestyle. Quality of the run is more important so I advise that we limit the quantity,” Komtar assemblymember Teh Lai Heng said at the press conference held at the Penang Chinese Town Hall on ……

The organiser of the run is Penang Forward Sports Club and co-organisers are Actife Style Concept and Penang Chinese Town Hall.

The run will take place on June 4 and there are two categories – half marathon 21km and fun run 7km
