THE Penang government has donated 4,000 face masks to protect the staff and officers working in the Penang courts.

Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng said the contribution was a follow up after the visit by Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.

Chow visited the Penang Court Complex on June 12 to observe the implementation of the recovery movement control order standard operating procedure (SOP).

“This is the first time that we have donated face masks to the Penang courts. The Penang government is concerned for the wellbeing of the staff there,” Teh told Buletin Mutiara today.

Penang Courts director Zaharah Hussain thanked the state government for its contribution.

“The Penang courts have over 300 officers and staff in the state. The face masks will help to protect them from the Covid-19 infection,” she said.
