A TOTAL of 232 Seberang Perai Municipal Council (MPSP) staff members today received the Excellent Service Award for 2018.
MPSP president Datuk Rozali Mohamud said the award recipients for 2018 showed an increase of 10.47 percent compared to 210 recipients for 2017.
Of the 232 recipients, 199 are male and 33 are female employees. Each recipient received a certificate and a cash award of RM1,000.
“I would like to congratulate them for achieving the target set by their respective heads of departments and management.
“I hope all the award recipients will continue to be committed and improve on their work performance to enhance the image and credibility of the MPSP,” he said at the opening ceremony at Sunway Hotel Seberang Jaya.
Also present were MPSP secretary Rosnani Mahmod, MPSP councillors and heads of departments.
At the same event, six staff members also received a certificate of appreciation for demonstrating high commitment, dedication and honesty and performing beyond their assigned tasks.
Commenting further, Rozali said all staff members are an important asset and would always be given attention by management to ensure that MPSP continues to be an excellent local authority.
“MPSP emphasises the importance of integrity and discipline to all employees, regardless of their position. MPSP is committed to combating corruption, abuse of power, irregularities, discipline and breach of trust among employees,” he added.
