An evening of fun with former students and family members

FORMER students of Convent Green Lane (CGL) and their family members certainly showed their mettle in the friendly CGL Telematch 2019, organised by the school’s alumnae.

Some 30 people took part in the telematch which started at about 4pm today. The alumnae was assisted by the Penang Adventurers’ Club.

Among the games played were passing the hoop, ping pong pass, tennis ball relay and tug-of-war.

The alumnae honorary secretary Ong Beng Guat said this was the first time the alumnae organised a telematch.

“We plan to do it annually from now.

“We want to thank the Penang Adventurers’ Club for their assistance.

“We would also like to thank our patron Tan Lean Kee for joining us this evening,” she said after the telematch at the school field.

Tan was a former student of CGL.

“The event promotes close bond between family members and friends,” Tan told Buletin Mutiara.

The participants also took a nice group photo at the school to remind them of the memorable event.
