HAVE you ever wondered how cool would it be to enjoy the scenic ferry ride and the scenery from the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge as you ride your best-loved bicycle?
The inaugural Paramount Property City2City Ride 2020 cycling event is offering participants a chance to experience Penang by cycling 77km while taking in the beauty of the state.
Penang Youth and Sports Committee chairman Soon Lip Chee said that the event would be held on July 5 at the Design Village Outlet Mall in Batu Kawan.
“The organisers are targeting 2,700 participants. From Design Village, they will cycle to the Pengkalan Sultan Abdul Halim ferry terminal in Butterworth before taking a ferry to the Pengkalan Raja Tun Uda ferry terminal on the island. They will then cycle to the Esplanade to take a break.
“The cyclists will then travel to the Design Village Outlet Mall using the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge (second bridge),” Soon told a press conference in Komtar today.
He added that the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge would be closed from 7am to 1pm on July 5.
The participation fee is RM95 for Malaysians and RM145 for foreigners. Closing date is April 20.
