Deco creates mood for CNY

THE high Covid-19 cases may have cast a cloud over the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration.

 

But that does not stop associations, businesses and the people from creatively set the mood for the Lunar New Year.

 

Hundreds of bright red lanterns were hung at the Butterworth Tow Boo Kong Temple in Jalan Raja Uda, creating a majestic scene.

Two ‘predators’ were seen guarding the Shop-In d’Park unique space in Auto-City, Juru. Interestingly, one of them was holding an angpow packet!

Over at Prangin Mall in George Town, a golden ox sculpture was placed at one of the entrances of the shopping mall.

 

The Year of the Ox starts on Feb 12 this year. There are 12 Chinese zodiac animals, and the Year of the Ox occurs once every 12 years.
