EXCITING programmes have been lined up for the ‘Sayangi Malaysiaku: Malaysia Bersih’ event this Aug 25.
Organising chairman Patimah Kader said the aim was to empower women and families.
“It is also to celebrate our 62nd National Day and to promote a healthy lifestyle.
“Among the activities and programmes were archery, health screening, demonstration by the Fire and Rescue Department, cultural performances, entrepreneurial talks, traditional games, Merdeka quiz, colouring contest for Unity Kindergarten pupils (aged five and six) in Tanjong and lucky draw.
“About 700 people are expected to take part in the event,” she told a press conference at Komtar today.
The Tanjong Women and Family Development Committee (JPWK) and Perjuanita are jointly organising the event. The Tanjong JPWK includes Padang Kota JPWK, Komtar JPWK and Pengkalan Kota JPWK.
It will be held from 8am to 1pm at Dewan Sri Pinang.
Also present at the press conference were Padang Kota JPWK chairman Yeoh Phaik Suan, Komtar JPWK chairman Jane Tan, Komtar JPWK secretary Wong Hun Theng, Komtar JPWK coordinator Latifah Varshay Ibrahim, and Padang Kota JPWK coordinator Tan Hui Ming.
