Firm joins Covid-19 fight by donating hand sanitisers

A PRIVATE company has come forward to help the Penang government fight against Covid-19.

JL Water Engineering Sdn Bhd, a leading water and wastewater solution provider, today contributed about 100 bottles of sanitiser to the Penang government.

It’s managing director Jack Lim told Buletin Mutiara that the company donated Dfenze sanitisers as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR).

“This is only the first batch of contribution. Another round of sanitisers will arrive next week. We hope it will benefit more people,” he said.

Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng, who was present to receive the sanitisers, thanked the company for their support and effort in fulfilling the CSR.

“The state will make use of this gift and distribute it to the people soon, ” said Teh, who is also political secretary to Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow in Komtar today.

Various private firms have also stepped forward to help out during these challenging times.
