STATE Social Development, Welfare and Non-Islamic Religious Affairs Committee chairman Lim Siew Khim visited the family of a 46-year-old man earlier this week, following his tragic fall at the Penang Port last week.

Lim offered the family comfort and support, together with other relevant agencies, during this difficult time. She expressed her condolences and assured the family that they would receive assistance.

“Relevant agencies, including the Social Security Organisation (PERKESO), provided the Funeral Management Benefit, while the Department of Social Welfare (JKM) approved immediate financial aid of RM300.

“The Penang Zakat Management Centre (PP) also came forward to support the family,” Lim said when she paid a visit to the family on Dec 16.
