IT was a happy day for seven students from the Padang Kota constituency when they received awards from Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow for their academic excellence via online today.
While congratulating them virtually via Zoom, Chow reminded them to continue to study hard and be useful citizens.
The event, called Padang Kota Excellent Student Award 2020, was for the children of registered voters in Padang Kota of which Chow is their state assemblyman.
The seven recipients, from primary and secondary schools, received a certificate, medal and RM100 Popular books voucher each.
They are Neoh Yi Qing (SJKC Min Sin), Gan Zhong Wen (SMK St Xavier), Tan Jia Yi (Chung Ling Private High School), Justin Lim Yan Liang (SMK Air Itam), Lim Yi Wen (SMK Jalan Damai), Lee Yun Yi (SMJK Convent Datuk Keramat) and Teng Hui Ying (SMJK Perempuan Cina).
