THE Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP) appreciated the services of several of its staff members by giving them awards at its Quality Appreciation ceremony at Dewan Kenanga on Oct 4.
MBSP mayor Datuk Rozali Mohamud presented the Quality Appreciation awards to the winners of three categories – Quality Engagement, Best 5S Zones and Quality Challenge (Quality Quiz).
MBSP’s main objective in holding the Quality Appreciation ceremony is to inspire all the staff members to be creative and innovative and to provide quality service to the public.
The Quality Engagement awards went to Siti Haslinda Hasan (Services Management director), Asma Othman (Head of Unit, Internal Audit), Norshazila Alias (Treasury deputy director), Mohd Saedon Ahmad (Chief assistant senior engineer) and Abd Rahman Shariff (Agriculture senior assistant officer).
In the Best 5S Zones category, Zon Kekwa emerged tops to win a trophy plus a cash prize of RM1,000, followed by Zon Orkid (RM750) and Zon Kenanga (RM500).
A total of 180 participants took part in the Quality Challenge category, answering 30 objective questions within 30 minutes.
Ten prizes, including consolation prizes, were given out and the top three winners were Asma Othman (Internal Audit Unit), Noor Masmira Abdul Jaafar (Internal Audit Unit) and Jamaludin Mat (Legal). They received cash incentives of RM300, RM250 and RM200 respectively.
