ONE hundred pupils from five selected schools in Sungai Bakap received ‘back-to-school’ RM50 voucher for the new school year.
They were from SMK Jit Sin II, SRJK (T) Ladang Sempah, SRJK (T) Sungai Bakap, SRJK(C) Boon Beng and SRJK (T) Tasek Permai.
The contribution to them was initiated by Sungai Bakap assemblyman Amar Pritpal Abdullah on Dec 28.
“My main intention is to help ease the burden of parents who have to buy new school items for their children.
“As a parent, you’re naturally going to be concerned that your children receive the best possible education,” he said in his speech at the presentation of the ‘back-to-school’ voucher event at his Sungai Bakap service centre.
“One of the easiest ways to support your children’s studies is to show concern on how they’re performing, and find time to regularly meet their teachers.
“I urged all the students to study well as education is the only thing that will never fail you in life. It is also an instrumental to achieve greater success in life.”
The recipients can redeem the vouchers for school items at Ten Ten supermarket in Sungai Bakap.
