THE Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP) is closely monitoring the water capacity of three dams in the state.
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said there was a proposal to conduct cloud seeding to generate rain.
“We are leaving it to the PBAPP to monitor the situation and to decide on the cloud seeding operation.
“The corporation regularly monitors the situation. Cloud seeding method is being discussed and will be implemented when necessary,” Chow told a press conference at Komtar today.
According to the PBAPP website today, the water capacity at the Air Itam Dam was 60.4%, Teluk Bahang Dam (75.3%) and Mengkuang Dam (45.9%).
