PSFF2018 goes green

PENANG Street Food Festival (PSFF) is back as in previous years to tantalise our taste buds again.

And this time, PSFF which is part of the Penang International Food Festival is going green.

Besides getting to indulge in Penang’s best street food, food lovers are reminded to be environmental conscious.

The message to be sent out is, little do people realise the dangers of plastics to our environment.

Thus, the state government is reinforcing its ‘go green’ message through the green concept behind this year’s PSFF.

Details of PSFF2018 are as follow:

Penang Street Food Festival
Date: Sept 1 & 2, 2018
Time: 5pm – 11pm
Venue: Lebuh Pantai

Plastics bags will only be provided if necessary and plastic straws will not be distributed at all. Some vendors will be distributing paper straws instead .

Members of the public are encouraged to bring your own containers and reusable bags as well as cutleries.

The Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH) Penang Chapter will be joining the Penang Street Food Festival 2018 with a stall selling
Penang’s notable cuisines. All proceeds received will be fully donated to Tabung Harapan.

Festival-goers can also enjoy RM5 off-Grab rides (four times) to/from PSFF using the code GRABTOPSFF. The promotion is valid on Sept 1 to 2 only.

*Road closure : Lebuh Pantai, Lebuh Gereja, and Lebuh Bishop will be closed from 1pm onwards on Aug 31 to 6am on Sept 3.
