FORMER deputy director of the National Narcotics Crime Investigation Department, Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad, has been appointed as chairman of the Penang Crime Consciousness and Public Safety Society (CCPSS), while Seah Kok Heng will serve as its strategic adviser.

Their appointments follow a recent restructuring of the board of committees, aimed at strengthening the society’s mission and operational effectiveness.

Zainuddin expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the trust and support shown by the board members, pledging to lead CCPSS in playing a more significant role in crime prevention and community safety.

He also voiced hope that in the coming year, all members would remain united in advancing the society’s goals and encourage wider public participation, especially in community-based initiatives.

Our mission is to strengthen community cohesion through various activities, allowing everyone to experience the true power of unity,” said Zainuddin after the conclusion of CCPSS’s 2025 Annual General Meeting and committee election.

Seah emphasised that the reorganisation of the new committee marks a new chapter in CCPSS’s continuous efforts to enhance public safety, crime awareness, and community well-being.

“We believe CCPSS will continue to grow steadily and execute its mission more effectively. The next step will be a series of courtesy visits to state leaders, executive councillors, and heads of government agencies to further strengthen collaboration and jointly promote community safety and national unity,” he said.
