THE Penang Crime Consciousness and Public Safety Society (CCPSS) carried out a meaningful community outreach initiative yesterday by providing donations and assistance to the Crystal Family Home Centre in Air Itam.
The initiative reaffirmed CCPSS’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.
What the CCPSS’s Welfare Team focused on was the replacement of damaged canopy tents at the centre’s tuition area, ensuring a safer, more conducive learning environment for the children residing at the home. With the installation of the new canopy tents, the children can now continue their tuition and learning activities in a more secure, comfortable, and protected setting.

Crystal Family Home Centre currently houses 12 children between the ages of four and 15, who rely on the centre for shelter, care, and educational support. The upgraded tuition area plays a vital role in their daily routines, providing a dedicated space for learning, mentoring, and personal development.
This initiative forms part of CCPSS’s long-term commitment to social welfare, a commitment previously highlighted by the organisation’s strategic adviser, Seah Kok Heng, during the CCPSS annual general meeting press conference. The welfare programme reflects CCPSS’s core values of compassion, responsibility, and sustainable community support, particularly for underprivileged children and families.

The Welfare Team, led by CCPSS assistant secretary Edwin F. Martin, expressed gratitude to donors for their support in making the event possible.
