BP Healthcare Group had a double event at its BP Specialist Centre on Nov 7 with the grand opening of the BP Specialist Centre and a public health awareness event called “Love Our Life” Bazaar or LOL Bazaar in Penang.State exco for Agriculture,
Agro-based Industries, Rural Development and Health Dr Afif Bahardin officiated the event.
BP Healthcare Group senior vice-president Lovy Beh in her speech explained that BP Healthcare Group had upgraded its diagnostic centre at Penang and converted it into a specialist centre to cater for the business community here. She also commented that BP
recently launched a new screening package, which is the BPobesity screening. Also present were exco for Tourism Development and
Culture , Danny Law Heng Kiang.“Early this year, BP started a collaboration with the National Heart Institute (IJN) where their cardiologists are stationed at BP Specialist Centre for consultation and referral purposes. This will provide accessible cardiology healthcare to other outlets in Klang Valley and hopefully to Penang in the near future,” she added.“LOL Bazaar is BP’s third public health awareness bazaar project for this year, and is part of BP’s corporate social responsibility.
Next we intend to host in Ipoh and Skudai, Johor.“BP has acquired a six-storey building in Muar and a hospital in Batu Pahat as part of its expansion project,” Beh said.
Meanwhile, Dr Afif said BP’s newly extended centre in Penang will bring greater benefits to the community in this areaespecially in terms of betterand more accessible health facilities.“With this new outlet, folks in this area can now get important health screening services with the full range of choicesfor their diagnostic healthcare needs.“I am very glad to see such businesses setting up to serve local communities. This showsthat BP is caring for the health of local communities
