DEEPAVALI cheer came early for the staff and patients of Penang Hospital after some 400 mini hampers were presented to them today.

Datuk Keramat assemblyman Jagdeep Singh Deo, who handed over the hampers, said his service centre had always been in a collaboration with the Malaysia Hindhudharma Maamandram and Penang State Hindu Endowment Board to spread the festive joy.

The hampers’ items include muruku, oranges, apples and beverages.

This year’s Deepavali falls on Oct 24 (Monday).
