Donation for schools

SOME 300 students from three primary schools and those registered under five Air Putih Village Security and Development Committees

(JKKK) received school aid totaling RM30,000 on Jan 30. The function held at the JKKK Bukit Bendera hall was officiated by Chief Minister Lim

Guan Eng and Pertubuhan Amal Seri Sinar’s Datuk Dr Edon Ching Ten Song.

Among those present were Air Itam aassemblymember Wong Hon Wai and Bukit Bendera MP Zairil Khir Johari.

From 2015 till 2016, Pertubuhan Seri Sinar has allocated a total of RM50,000 to needy students in the Air Putih constituency.

The three schools which received the funding were SJKC Shang Wu , SJKC Kong Min Pusat

and SJKT Rajaji .

Meanwhile, on Feb 1, a mock cheque presentation ceremony was held in Komtar where the state government donated RM1.13 million to 11

national type schools. Lim officiated at the ceremony which was also attended by exco for Youth & Sports, Women, Family and Community

Development Chong Eng, exco for Local Government, Traffic Management and Flood Mitigation Chow Kon Yeow, Wong and Sungai Pinang

assemblymember Lim Siew Kim.
