Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the service centre has been organising the programme for over 10 years.

“During the programme each year, we would provide contributions to several selected charity homes.

“This year, we are contributing to the Special Children’s Centre Penang, Crystal Care Centre, The Salvation Army Penang Children’s Home, Ramakrishna Ashrama Penang and HOPE Worldwide Malaysia Charity Association,” he said in his speech.

Chow hoped that the contribution could give hope and happiness to the recipients, as well as provide the true meaning of Christmas.

“We pray that Christmas would ignite the hope for a stable and progressive country, Penang to continue to be a developed state, our community to remain united, and peace among the people.
