THE Sungai Nibong Besar MPKK and Pantai Jerejak Service Centre jointly held a food basket programme for the B40 group (women) at the Dewan MPKK Sungai Nibong Besar recently.
Sungai Nibong Besar MPKK chairman Shawal Ahmad said in view of the Ramadan starting soon, they decided to present food basket to about 50 underprivileged womenfolk from their area.
“We hope this annual small gesture will help them ease their financial burden,” said Shawal, whose MPKK also recently treated some of the ‘Wira Kuning’ from the Penang Island City Council to a luncheon.
The food basket consists of items such as rice, milk, flour, milo, biscuits, noodles, sardine, tomato rice, fried chicken and drinks.
Also present at the food present were MBPP councillor Nurhafiza Huda Idris and Pantai Jerejak Service Centre officer Nurul Ilfiq Zulkifli.
