Fostering closer relationship with the hearing impaired through run

HUNDREDS of early risers thronged the heritage enclave during The Colourful Run (Run with the Hearing Impaired 3.0) to raise funds for the Penang Deaf Association (PDA).

The event was a 5km Fun Run organised by PDA, and supported by the Penang government, Penang Island City Council (MBPP), Penang Sports Council, Penang Amateur Athletic Association and Malaysia Federation of the Deaf.

“This is a good platform for people to better understand the hearing-impaired community. I am happy to see so many people here, celebrating togetherness,” he said in his speech before the flag off on Sept 23.
