IT was a thrilling showcase of talent, energy, and passion as K-pop enthusiasts lit up the stage in the second edition of the ‘Mini Movers and The Titles K-pop Dance Cover Competition’, held at 1st Avenue Penang.
The two-day event, which runs from today until tomorrow, is jointly organised by 1st Avenue Penang and Aura Dance Academy, with strong support from the Penang Youth Committee (JBPP) Komtar.
Divided into two categories—under-13 and open age—the competition features both solo and group performances, providing a platform for aspiring dancers of all ages to express their creativity and flair through K-pop choreography.

During the opening ceremony, Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng congratulated the participants and applauded their courage to perform on stage.

“This competition is more than just a contest. It’s a celebration of talent, perseverance, and community.
“What I see here today is a passionate community of individuals expressing themselves through music and dance.
“Whether or not you win, every step, every spin, and every beat is a step closer to your dream. Keep dancing with confidence, with joy, and with pride,” he said in his speech.
Also present during the opening ceremony were 1st Avenue assistant general manager Tracy Tan Ling Hong, JBPP Komtar president Bernard Ng and Aura Dance Academy representative Ow Chun Wei.
