The packed food was sponsored by the Gleneagles Hospital Penang and distributed in conjunction with the seventh day of the Chinese New Year.

According to its CEO, Ivan Loh, the lunch treat was a gesture of appreciation to the frontliners for their contribution to the community.

“Today marks the seventh day of the Chinese New Year, which signifies the ‘Humans Day’. So, we decided to celebrate this auspicious day in a meaningful manner.

“We just wanted to share the festive joy with our frontliners here who have been working tirelessly during this challenging time by treating them to a scrumptious lunch.

“The ‘nasi lemak’ and ‘Yee Sang’ sets were specially prepared by the Dietetic and Food Service Department from Gleneagles Hospital for the frontliners,” said Loh after distributing the meals at the Penang Hospital.
