THE Madani Health Carnival & Blood Donation Campaign 2025, currently underway at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre, is gaining strong momentum, with over 800 participants registered as of noon.
This one-day event offers a wide range of free activities, including health screenings, wellness sessions, educational booths, and a blood donation drive, made possible through the collective support of dedicated volunteers and partnering organisations.

The event is spearheaded by the Village Community Management Council (MPKK) Lebuh Relau, with support from Komuniti Madani Relau, the Bukit Gelugor parliamentary constituency office and the Paya Terubong state constituency office. The initiative aims to promote a healthier and more compassionate society.

Penang Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Wong Hon Wai, who is also the Paya Terubong assemblyman, highlighted the strong healthcare collaboration.

“A total of four hospitals are participating today namely Penang General Hospital, Penang Adventist Hospital, Lam Wah Ee Hospital, and Island Hospital.
“This location (Relau) rarely hosts blood donation campaigns, as most are typically held in George Town.
“However, following a strong request from the local community, we agreed to collaborate with MPKK Lebuh Relau to bring the Madani Health Carnival & Blood Donation Campaign 2025 here,” Wong said during his opening speech.
Also present at the launch was Bukit Gelugor MP Ramkarpal Singh.

Wong also praised the organisers for their determination in pulling off a large-scale programme.
“MPKK Lebuh Relau has done a commendable job. Despite being short on manpower, their dedication and teamwork ensured the success of this event.
“With over 800 registrations by midday, we expect even more participants this afternoon,” he added.
Ramkarpal echoed Wong’s sentiments and expressed his appreciation to the sponsors and organisers.

“I’m proud of MPKK Lebuh Relau and grateful to all the sponsors who made today’s programme possible.
“I hope this noble effort will set a positive example and be continued in the future.
“This initiative aligns with our values and priorities in Bukit Gelugor, and we are always ready to support similar community-driven programmes.
“I am encouraged by the strong turnout and look forward to a smooth and successful event throughout the day,” he said.
