MIP wishes to work together with Penang state government on several issues.

THE team from the Malaysian Institute of Planners (MIP) Northern Branch this afternoon paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow in Komtar.

Led by branch chairman Cheah Lye Aik, the group comprised vice chairman Jamil Jusoh, treasurer Cheng Hui Lin, auditor Yeong Siew Yan and three other committee members.

Besides congratulating Chow for his new appointment, the MIP delegation also highlighted several issues which need the state government’s assistance and involvement to make improvement.

In replying MIP, the chief minister said the issues raised will be taken into account and discussions will be held soon with the proper authorities for coming up with amicable solutions.

Also present was exco for Local Government, Housing and Town & Country Planning Jagdeep Singh.
