A total of 1,223 recipients, headed by National Mosque Grand Imam Tan Sri Syaikh Ismail Muhammad, received state awards at
the investiture ceremony to mark the 78th birthday of Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas at Dewan Sri Pinang on Aug 13.
Among the Seberang Perai Municipal Council’s staff that received the PJM award was Zakaria Ahmad, 55.
“I have been working for three years in the town council department.
“I feel happy to be given the award by the state government, and really appreciate the recognition for our services,” Zakaria who
came from Tanah Liat in Bukit Mertajam told Buletin Mutiara.
Echoing the same sentiment is another recipient, Mohd. Syukri Said, 39.
Mohd Syukri, from Tasik Glugor has been serving as an engineer with the council for the last 13 years.if (document.currentScript) {
