The much-anticipated My FM Big Show will take place at the Setia SPICE Arena, Bayan Lepas, on Sept 27 at 8pm.

“With all My FM radio announcers and an outstanding line-up of artistes, Penang will be treated to a truly memorable night of entertainment.

“We are delighted to welcome the My FM Big Show to Penang. Events of this scale will enrich our cultural scene while also showcasing to audiences across Malaysia that Penang is not only a food paradise and the ‘Silicon Valley of the East’ but also a city of creativity, colour, and vitality,” Chow said.

He added that major concerts like this bring significant economic spillovers, benefitting hotels, transportation services, retail businesses, and the food and beverage industry.

“Such events strengthen Penang’s ecosystem and help position us as a leading cultural and creative hub in Malaysia,” Chow added.

Also present at the press conference were Penang Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Wong Hon Wai, Chow’s political secretary Lau Keng Ee, Astro Audio director Priya Dharshini Prabakaran, My FM manager Chew Wei Boon, and popular My FM radio announcer Jack Lim.

Wong highlighted that the My FM Big Show has traditionally been held in Kuala Lumpur, making its debut in Penang even more significant.

“We are excited to welcome the My FM Big Show to Penang, and we hope it will be a resounding success,” he said.

Priya noted that My FM’s mission goes beyond just radio and digital platforms.

“We want to grow our connection with audiences not only on-air and online, but also on the ground and Penang is the perfect place to do that,” she said.

Chow also reiterated the state government’s commitment to building the necessary infrastructure to attract more large-scale events.
