Penang Girl Guides’ Association receives RM10,000 boost from state government

THE Penang Girl Guides’ Association received a financial boost of RM10,000 from the state government today to support its ongoing programmes and activities.

 

A brief mock cheque presentation ceremony took place at the association’s headquarters in Jalan Air Itam, attended by Penang Youth, Sports and Health Committee chairman Daniel Gooi Zi Sen.

 

Gooi presented the mock cheque to Penang Girl Guides’ Association chief commissioner Ng Lye Ying, who expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the state government for its continued support.

“This contribution will go a long way in helping us fund our training programmes, community service initiatives, and leadership development activities for our members,” Ng said.

 

Following the ceremony, Gooi was also given a tour of the headquarters and briefed on the association’s upcoming events and future plans aimed at empowering girls and young women across the state.
