PYDC signs NoU with educational institutions to equip youth with digital skills

TO further empower the youth, the Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC) has signed a Note of Understanding (NoU) with Penang Zone Vocational Colleges and Technical High Schools recently.

State Youth and Sports Committee chairman Soon Lip Chee said PYDC has taken proactive steps by coming up with various initiatives to help the youth equip themselves for the industrial revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0).

Soon said among them was the signing of the NoU that was held at the PYDC’s office in Jalan Ahmad Nor on Nov 30. He said each party has its own capacity to empower the youth to a higher level.

“This NoU signing is to signify a commitment of collaboration between PYDC and CollaTeam with Penang Zone Vocational Colleges and Technical High Schools for more future collective initiatives for the youth especially.

“The CollaTeam is an important industry player with regards to the IR 4.0.

“With the NoU signed, it will open the room for everyone to share their expertise to empower the youth to a higher level.

“For Penang Zone Vocational Colleges and Technical High Schools, they are educational institutions that provide formal training for young people in vocational studies.

“And for the PYDC, it is a state agency that serves as a platform for youth empowerment,” he added.
