MEMBER of Parliament for Jelutong, RSN Rayer and Sungai Pinang assemblyman Lim Siew Khim have contributed desk tops, dining tables, smart boards and other equipment to SJKC Phei Sin in Jelutong recently.
Rayer expressed hopes that the equipment totalling some RM40,000 would help the students to study in a more conducive environment to improve themselves. The money was contributed by funds from the Jelutong parliamentary and state constituencies.
“I also wish the teachers could contribute more in supporting the students to excel in their class
work and mould them to be future leaders of the state and country,” he said at the equipment presentation ceremony held at the school on Dec 29.
Also present were the school’s principal Chan Pek Kioa and its secretary Datuk Ong Kuen Heng.
Rayer said they would try to assist the school in providing the needed equipment in future.
