Schools in Batu Maung to get sanitiser spray bottles

FOUR hundred OMBACPLUS sanitiser spray bottles will be given out to schools in Batu Maung, Penang, next week.

Batu Maung assemblyman Datuk Abdul Halim Hussain told reporters today that Ironic Global Sdn Bhd would donate the sanitiser spray it produces as the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) outbreak in Wuhan has caused grave concerns worldwide.

“Personal hygience is very important in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan.

“I would like to thank Ironic Gobal for their gesture. Their product is now on demo, not yet for sale.

“But they have already obtained test report and analysis from Universiti Sains Malaysia,” Abdul Halim said after receiving some bottles of the sanitiser spray from Ironic Gobal chairlady Michelle Lau for the Village Community Management Council (MPKK) for Batu Maung.

Also present were some MPKK members.

Abdul Halim, who is also the state Domestic and International Trade, Entrepreneur Development and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman, urged private companies to contribute in whatever way they could as part of their corporate social responsibility to fight the scourge.

Lau said apart from the skin, the sanitiser spray could also be used on mobile phones, pillow, blanket and linen.

“We expect to get the green light to market the product from the Health Ministry next month,” said Lau.
