The prize-giving ceremony today was officiated by Penang Education Department deputy director Mohamad Said Ibrahim.

Ang shared that a total of 84 students from Standard Four to Standard Six, divided into four teams, represented SJK (C) Min Sin in today’s event.

“Out of the four teams we sent, we were crowned champions in the PBBSR Boys’ category and finished as first runner-up in the TKRS (Tunas Kadet Remaja Sekolah) Boys’ category.

“Our teams also secured second runner-up in both the TKRS Girls’ and PBBSR Girls’ categories,” he added.

Ang expressed satisfaction with the students’ overall performance, especially considering that many of them were first-time participants.

Looking ahead to the national competition, Ang said the team would undergo continuous and intensive training in the coming days.

“We will continue our training to give our best at the national level. Our goal is to finish in the Top 3, just like last year.

“Based on today’s showing, we identified a few areas for improvement, particularly in terms of foot stomping and arm swings, which need to be more synchronised and straight.

“Nevertheless, we are confident and will strive to impress the judges with our coordination, discipline, and commitment to excellence,” he said.
