THE long-held aspiration of the Penang Chinese School Teachers’ Association (PCSTA) to raise funds for repairing and upgrading its association building has finally been realised, thanks to a RM50,000 allocation from Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.
Chow announced the good news before flagging off the HH Charity Run 2025 at Beach Street near OCBC Bank this morning.
The 3km charity run was jointly organised by H&H Health Group Sdn Bhd, the Penang Island City Council (MBPP), and the Penang Chinese School Teachers Association.
Its primary objective was to raise funds for the association’s building repair and renovation works.
Chow said the total cost of the upgrading project is estimated at RM700,000.
“However, the Penang Chinese School Teachers’ Association has already managed to collect nearly RM700,000 and is short of only about RM80,000.
“So, I am pleased to announce a RM50,000 allocation from the state for the association, and I have also been informed that H&H Health Group will contribute an additional RM30,000,” Chow said.
Meanwhile, PCSTA chairman Loh Yat Cheng expressed her gratitude to Chow and H&H Health Group for the much-needed support.
Also present were MBPP councillor Benji Ang Ming Quan and H&H Health Group founder Loh Wei Hong.
