Swimming club strictly adhering to SOPs

THE Penang Swimming Club is taking the standard operating procedures (SOPs) very seriously to ensure that its members and customers are safe and healthy.

Its president Najieb Ariff said the club’s staff and members had shown great support by complying with the strict SOPs and conditions upon entering and exiting the premises.

“Regular cleaning exercises are also conducted to keep everyone safe.

“We are happy that Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow is here to witness our diligence in complying with the SOPs.

“His presence will instil confidence among our members and staff,” he said.

Chow congratulated the club for making sure that the SOPs to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic were complied.

“It is very important for the club to instil confidence among its members and customers who patronise the premises to enjoy the facilities.

“It is a challenging period for all of us now as recent Covid-19 cases have slightly dampened our spirit. We have to be strong and win this war against the pandemic.

“We cannot afford another spike in Covid-19 cases,” he said during a tour at the Penang Swimming Club today.

He also thanked and applauded the state Health Department for doing a good job in contact tracing and all the necessary screenings.
