THE Buddhist Tzu-Chi Merits Society Malaysia in Penang has stepped up its efforts to support the medical frontliners in Penang Hospital.
This time, the organisation has donated seven units of myAIRVO 2 to the Penang Hospital to cater to the needs of the critically-ill Covid-19 patients.
The Fisher & Paykel Healthcare’s myAIRVO 2 provides respiratory support and airway hydration.
It provides high flow of air or oxygen mixtures to spontaneously breathing patients through the Optiflow nasal cannula interface.
Buddhist Tzu-Chi Merits Society Malaysia commissioner Khoo Boo Leong said the seven units of myAIRVO 2 would be able to support the needs of the Covid-19 patients at the new high dependency ward in Penang Hospital.
“Our organisation’s medical mission is ‘safeguarding lives and health with love’.
“We will continue to strive towards this direction.
“Tzu-Chi is grateful to all its donors. ViTrox Corporation Berhad participated by being one of the donors,” he said.
