FOR 29 years, he has been constantly setting aside at least 10% of his monthly salary to save with the Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) RM1mil Premium Savings Certificate (SSP).

As a dedicated frontliner, DSP Md Azman Kadir possesses two primary aspirations: to serve his fellow citizens and nation with unwavering honour, and to provide unwavering support to his beloved wife and children.

DSP Md Azman, who has been serving in the police force for 33 years, said he believes in saving for the future.

“I love my country and my family. These are the two most important things in my life.

“And I want to ensure that I can save enough for my children’s future,” he said in an interview at BSN in Macalister Road today.

The 56-year-old Deputy Superintendent did not believe his ears when he received a call, notifying him that he was the winner of the BSN SSP (August 2023 draw).

DSP Md Azman advises the people to save for the future.

“At first, I could not believe my ears when I got a call from BSN, informing me of the shocking news. I thought it was a scam call.

“However, two days later, the bank officials came to our house and that was when I believed the news was real,” DSP Md Azman told Buletin Mutiara.

He said that he could not sleep well since receiving the good news.

“I still feel that I am dreaming.

“With this rezeki (blessing), my other concern, which is my children’s education, will no longer be a concern.

“I will continue to serve my country and the people as a police officer,” he said when asked about his future plans.

He urged the young generation to cultivate the habit of saving money.

DSP Md Azman, who is from Nibong Tebal, is currently serving at the Kedah Contingent police headquarters in Alor Setar.

As of August this year, the total number of BSN SSP millionaires is 91 individuals.

BSN chief executive officer Jay Khairil, in a statement, said the BSN SSP demonstrates its effectiveness as an inclusive savings platform that caters to the needs of various segments of society.

“Therefore, make use of the potential of BSN SSP to cultivate saving habits while having the opportunity to win various fantastic prizes,” Jay said.
