Vote for the future of Penang!

VOTERS are not merely casting their ballots for the candidates; they are shaping the destiny of Penang itself, says caretaker Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.

Chow underscored that each vote is pivotal in establishing a unifying government, a crucial step towards securing Penang’s future.

“We want to form a state government that aligns with the Federal Government, creating a unity government that will further develop Penang,” Chow said during his walkabout in Bertam today.

Chow emphasised that the unity government is for all, irrespective of race, religion and culture.

Apart from that, Chow also shared that a study conducted by local media (Utusan TV) on voters’ satisfaction with the performances of their respective state governments, showed that Penangites expressed the highest satisfaction level.

“The study involved the six states participating in the upcoming state elections, namely Penang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu.

“Among these, Penang, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan, all governed by Pakatan Harapan, received top rankings for voter satisfaction.

“The state that ranked the highest is none other than Penang, and this is the indicator that we have performed well.

“So, if we are entrusted with another term, we would further enhance our performance,” said Chow, who is also the state Pakatan Harapan chairman.

Also joining Chow during the walkabout was Barisan Nasional’s Bertam candidate Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican.

Chow urged the Bertam voters to support Reezal Merican, citing his vast experience as an asset for fortifying the unity government.

Similarly, Reezal Merican also affirmed that he wants to secure a win in Bertam to contribute to the formation of a stronger unity government.

Chow highlighted the Pakatan Harapan-Barisan National (PH-BN) coalition’s slogan: “Where there are Harapan candidates, vote for them; where there are no Harapan candidates, vote for Barisan candidates.”
