YOUTHS in the community have been encouraged to become agents of change and to help build a more inclusive society by tapping into their inner strengths and talents.
Seri Delima assemblywoman Connie Tan highlighted the immense potential and bright future that lie ahead for the younger generation.
“Youths today face challenges from the digital world and significant social changes, but they also have fair opportunities to move forward.

“Believe in your potential and have the courage to develop self-confidence so that you can shine in society,” she said during her speech at the National Youth Celebration for the northeast district, held at SMK Hamid Khan today.
Tan expressed her deep respect for the younger generation, emphasising the importance of nurturing two essential qualities in them: intelligence and goodwill.
She also noted that the official age range defining youth has been revised from 15 to 40 years to 15 to 30 years.
Meanwhile, Ong Choon Keat, the Northeast District Youth spokesperson, recognised youths as a crucial pillar of national development.

“Youths are inseparable from the progress of national development,” he stated.
