“These changes promise a distinctive and enjoyable experience for all guests.

“Jazz Hotel Penang stands as a remarkable establishment with its 30-storey building and 255 exquisitely furnished rooms. The hotel’s design and atmosphere capture the true essence of jazz; even extending to its suites that are named after iconic jazz singers such as Dinah Washington and Billie Holiday.

“I understand that the hotel features a rooftop infinity pool, gym, Feast at Jazz restaurant, Haku Japanese Restaurant, and a cosy lounge on Level 29 which will be unveiled soon. These facilities are sure to enhance the overall experience for guests,” Chow said in his speech during the grand opening of the hotel in Tanjung Tokong today.

Chow added that the venture served as a beacon of hope and opportunity for everyone to contribute to the recovery of Penang’s tourism industry after enduring the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We have witnessed the opening of several hotels in recent months. Each of these hotels plays a crucial role in providing job opportunities and supporting the local economy. It is through the collective efforts of all stakeholders that we elevate Penang to greater heights,” Chow emphasised the state’s commitment to supporting the growth and development of the hospitality and service industry.

Hotel manager Jordon Lim expressed the hotel’s commitment to providing an unforgettable experience for the hotel guests.

“Jazz Hotel Penang is an iconic hotel which has recently undergone a change in management and a significant rebranding; equipping it with a fresh new look, vibrant colours, and young vibes.

“It promises a unique and fun experience for all.

“Located in the charming Tanjung Tokong area, this hotel is just minutes away from the heart of Penang and the stunning Batu Ferringhi beach. This makes it an ideal location for our guests to explore the city’s rich cultural and historical attractions, as well as our beautiful beaches,” Lim said.

Penang Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin said the hotel industry in Penang is emerging stronger, becoming more resilient, and ready to embark on a new chapter.

“It is my privilege to witness the positive growth of our state’s tourism which contributes to our economy and culture,” he said.

Yeoh was confident that Penang’s tourism would continue to grow in the years to come.
