Calling for participants for drawing and lantern-making contests

ARE you creative and able to express yourself through a drawing or craft-making? If so, grab the opportunity to unleash your talent.

The service centre of Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng and Village Community Management Council (MPKK) for Macalister Road are organising two competitions – drawing and lantern making – in conjunction with the Mid- Autumn Festival which will be celebrated on Oct 1.

According to Teh, the competitions are open to all the residents from the northern region and there is no limit age for the participants.

“For each contest, we only accept the first 100 participants with a fee of RM5. Online payment can be made to WOW Event Creation Sdn Bhd (CIMB  8007778433).

“Those who want to pay cash can visit the Information Counter at Prangin Mall. Registration form and bank slip can be emailed to [email protected] or sent through WhatsApp at 016-6475533 (Peter) by Oct 1 before 6 pm.

“All the submitted artwork for both the contests would be displayed in Prangin Mall for about one month,’’ said Teh during a press conference held at his service centre today.

Participants are required to send the entries online for drawing contest at https://forms.gle/WbHc1C2JVxafLGM68 whereas for the lantern-making contest, the design can be submitted at https://forms.gle/CHz21V838Sy4b4q98.

“The criteria of judging are strictly based on 40% creativity, 30 % originality and 30 % overall presentation of the artworks and it must include elements of Mid-Autumn festival.

“The winners of the first three prize will receive Prangin Mall’s cash voucher of RM300, RM200, RM100 respectively. They will be also given a trophy and a certificate each,’’ added Teh.

The results will be announced on Oct 3 and the prize giving ceremony will from 2.30pm onwards at Level 5 in Prangin Mall.

All participants are required to bring along their drawings and lanterns during the prize giving day and get themselves registered.

If the winners or the parents are absent during the presentation, they will be disqualified. The prize will then be awarded to the next qualifying winner. Accepting prizes on behalf of a winner is strictly is not allowed.
