PHYSICAL fitness is essential to participate in any sports competition as such, the office of Exco for Women and Family Development, Gender Inclusiveness and Non-Islamic Religious Affairs together with the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) organised a special therapy session for the swimming participants from the MBPP Swimming Club in APMG 2018 today.

Exco member Chong Eng stated that the therapy was a gesture of appreciation for the MBPP Swimming Club members for their contribution.

“I understand that the MBPP swimming club members are actively involved in healthy activities.

“For instance, picking up rubbish while hiking namely ‘Hot Plogclean’ or Hiking On Thursday plogging’.

“Last month April, the MBPP Swimming Clubs members also took part in the ‘Asia Pacific Masters Games 2018 Torch Run’.

“Hence, to show appreciation to the contribution given by the MBPP Swimming Club members, my office together with the MBPP have organised this therapy session,” said Chong Eng who also chairs the APMG 2018.

Some 10 Chinese medicine practitioners from ‘Pasukan Perubatan Sukarela Hanwellness’ provided the treatment where some 10 MBPP Swimming Club members were present during the therapy including the MBPP Mayor Datuk Yew Tung Seang.
