CM Chow looks forward to prosperous ties between Malaysia and China

THE Penang government hopes the bilateral ties between Malaysia and China will yield a great economic prosperity to be shared by both the nations.

“The close friendship and diplomatic ties between China and Malaysia, formed since 1974, are built upon time-tested goodwill with mutual beneficial cooperation as the cornerstone.

“We appreciate the level of confidence placed upon Malaysian economy by our Chinese friends, companies and investors.

“Statistics provided by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) showed that companies from China continue to demonstrate confidence in us,” said Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow at the Chinese New Year reception of the Consul General of China at the Equatorial Hotel this evening.

According to Chow, quite a number of realised Chinese investments in the manufacturing sector played a pivotal role in boosting Malaysian exports as well as in creating good and high-level jobs.
