CM visits IHS Markit

 

CHIEF Minister Chow Kon Yeow today made his maiden visit to the Britain-based IHS Markit in Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah.

Chow was accompanied by his political secretary Teh Lai Heng, state Women, Family Development, Gender Inclusiveness and Non-Islamic Religious Affairs Committee chairman Chong Eng, and Batu Lancang assemblyman Ong Ah Teong.

Chow visited the firm to have a better understanding of the leading provider of information analytics and solutions.

IHS Markit (Malaysia operations) managing director Dr Vimaleswari K. Ramasamy briefed Chow and the delegates on the direction of the company.

She also explained on how the company, comprising of different departments, functioned as a team in a diversified manner.

“Currently, we have more than 50,000 customers from the business and government sectors. The number includes those from world’s leading financial institutions,” she said.

IHS Markit has three branches in the country. They are located in Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya.

Chow and those present were taken on a tour of the offices located at different floors during the visit.

Many staff did not miss the chance to take wefies with the Chief Minister during his visit.
