Come out in full force to vote, Chow urges voters

THE Malaysian voters should come out in full force on the polling day on Nov 19 to determine the future of Malaysia, says Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.

Chow, who is also the Penang Pakatan Harapan (PH) chairman, said there is still a beacon of hope just like when voters did the impossible by overthrowing the Barisan-led Federal Government for the first time in May 2018.

“And I believe we can repeat history for the second time.

“I know that some of us are still disappointed by the ‘Sheraton Move’ that caused political instability in our country. We lost hope because of that.

“But, let’s put aside the disappointment. As a matter of fact, we should change our disappointment to strength and come out on Nov 19 to give a solid vote to the PH coalition,” Chow said in his fiery speech during a ceramah at Taman Supreme in Perai today.

Also present were Deputy Chief Minister II Prof Dr P. Ramasamy, who is also the Perai assemblyman, state Tourism and Creative Economy Committee chairman Yeoh Soon Hin, Bagan Dalam assemblyman Satees Muniandy, Bukit Tengah assemblyman Gooi Hsiao-Leung and Seberang Perai City Council (MBSP) councillor David Marshel.

Chow added that the voters should prove that Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) are wrong.

“They are wrong if they think that we are not concerned about the future of Malaysia; they are wrong if they think that we do not want to rebuild Malaysia and they are wrong if they think that we will allow our country to be exploited by them.

“And they are wrong if they think that we do not want to come out to vote during the monsoon season.

“Let us show them that we actually care about this beloved country by exercising our rights as voters on Nov 19.

“After all, it is our duty, our utmost duty to choose a better government that can rechart the direction of this country to a greater height,” he said.
