“Khoo Sui Hoe was not only an extraordinary artist whose work transcended boundaries, but he was also a proud Malaysian at heart who never forgot his roots,” he said.

“Organising this showcase alongside his family allows us to celebrate his immense contributions, his lifelong journey of learning, and the timeless beauty he brought into the world through his art.”

Lee added that Khoo’s discipline, integrity and devotion to painting serve as an enduring model for future generations of artists. He also credited Khoo with nurturing younger talents and helping to cultivate a diverse, progressive and inspiring artistic culture in Malaysia.
