AIR Putih assemblyman Lim Guan Eng handed over financial assistance totaling RM15,500 to two community organisations and a management committee to support their activities and programmes at his service centre today.
The recipients were Perbadanan Pengurusan Taman Padang Tembak (RM10,000), Persatuan Kebajikan Mangata Pulau Pinang (RM3,000) and Kelab Rekreasi Air Itam Pulau Pinang (RM2,500).
Along with them, a religious body Persatuan Penganut Dewa Kong Teik Tjun Ong received tables and chairs worth RM5,850 from Lim as well.
The representatives of the various organisations who were present during the cheque presentation ceremony were Wong Wai Ho (Perbadanan Pengurusan Tamam Padang Tembak), Jeevan Manivelu (Persatuan Kebajikan Mangata Pulau Pinang) and Manju Barkavi (Kelab Rekreasi Air Itam Pulau Pinang).
Others who were present were Air Itam assemblyman Joseph Ng and Penang Island City (MBPP) councillors R. Kaliyappan and Connie Tan.
