Flats receive financial aid from state govt for lift maintenance work

TWO flats, namely Harmony View and Taman Sri Penawar, have received financial assistance from the state government for maintenance work under the Penang Maximum 80% Housing Maintenance Fund (TPM80PP).

 

State Local Government, Housing, Town and Country Planning Committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo said a total of RM156,320 has been approved for the upgrading work of two lifts at Harmony View flat.

 

Meanwhile, he said a total of RM144,000 has been allocated for the upgrading work of three lifts at Taman Sri Penawar flat.

 

“The total cost for the maintenance project is RM195,400 for Harmony View and RM180,000 for Taman Sri Penawar.

 

“We are happy to announce the approval of funds for these two projects. And this is our commitment to the various housing schemes.

 

“We pay attention, especially to the critical maintenance work such as upgrading of lifts and water tanks,” he said during a press conference today.

 

Apart from that, Jagdeep also urged the Federal Government to assist in the maintenance works of qualified housing schemes.

 

Also present were Jelutong MP RSN Rayer and Batu Lanchang assemblyman Ong Ah Teong, who received the approval letters for the maintenance projects of Harmony View and Taman Sri Penawar flats respectively from Jagdeep.

 

The handover of the approval letters was witnessed by Penang Housing Board chief operational officer Mohd Fauzy Mohd Yusoff.
